Insurances, Out of Network Transparency, and Billing

Please verify with the insurance company that we participate in the specific plan you are considering.

We see patients from birth to young adults.

Please note that copay, coinsurance, or deductible is due at the time of delivery of service. Cash and checks are the preferred methods of payment. A convenience fee is charged for credit card payments.

Unpaid bills greater than 3 months will be collected using small claims court. This will incur court fees depending on the courts, interest, and administration charges.

Dr. John Tung does procedures at the following facilities, and biopsies sent to the pathologist and their supporting network labs.

Physician services provided in the facility are not included in the facility’s charges eg anesthesiology, pathology, gastroenterology. The Out-of-network Consumer Protection, Transparency, Cost Containment, and Accountability Act, (P.L.2018, c.32), (“Act”),  provides enhanced protections for consumers who receive health care services from out-of-network providers.

In an attempt to provide transparency please read the following very carefully

Physicians who provide services in the facility may or may not participate with the same health benefits plans as the facility. The covered person should check with the physician arranging for the facility services to determine the health benefits plans in which the physician participates. The covered person should contact their carrier for further consultation on those costs. I try my very best to send testing to in network medical facilities but due the ever changing landscape of insurance contracts, I am not always 100% sure of this. So it is very important that you make the effort to find out.
